Journalist Princh Mondal Olif Receives the “Star Excellence Award 2025”

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to journalism, culture, and social service, young and talented journalist Princh Mondal Olif has been honored with the prestigious “Star Excellence Award 2025.”

The award was presented on Saturday (October 4) at 5:00 PM during a grand ceremony organized by Star Bangladesh Media at the Central Kochi-Kacha Auditorium in Segunbagicha, Dhaka.

Legendary film actress Sujata Azim graced the event as the chief guest, while Tashik Ahmed, Advisor to ATN Bangla, attended as the chief discussant. Among the special guests were noted film director Matin Rahman, National Film Award–winning choreographer Evan Shahriar Sohag, and renowned cultural personality Jams Kajol, along with many other distinguished figures from the fields of art, literature, and culture. The program was chaired by Khandakar Asifur Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Mofossol Journalists Society.

A total of 30 distinguished individuals from different sectors of the country received the award this year. Among them was Princh Mondal Olif, an accomplished journalist hailing from a remote region of Bagerhat district.

Olif has worked with several of Bangladesh’s leading media organizations, including Ruposhi Bangla Television, Daily Sokaler Somoy, Daily Janmobhumi, The Bangladesh Diary (English National Daily), Daily Banglar Protichchhobi, and BD Press 24.

In a reaction to the media, Princh Mondal Olif expressed his gratitude, saying:

“The Star Excellence Award is not just an honor — it’s a new source of inspiration for my journey in journalism. My goal is to uphold truth, ensure justice, and lead society toward light. This award will make me even more responsible and courageous in my work.”

He further added:

“I always want to identify myself not only as a journalist but also as a social worker. Through my social organization, ‘Surjo Foundation,’ I try to serve the underprivileged and destitute people of society. I seek blessings from everyone so that I can continue to work for the people of this country as long as I live.”

The guests at the ceremony praised Olif’s dedication and integrity, saying that young journalists like him are capable of bringing positive social change through responsible journalism and humanitarian efforts.
