Tawhidi Janata Protest in Mollahat Against Rape and Violence on Women

Members of the Tawhidi Janata staged a protest rally in Mollahat upazila of Bagerhat, condemning the recent surge in rape and violence against women and accusing the authorities of negligence.

The rally began around 3 PM on Friday (October 24) at the Mollahat bazar area, where protesters marched through the main streets chanting slogans demanding justice and strict punishment for the culprits.

Teachers and students from local madrasas, devout Muslims, and residents from different walks of life joined the procession, which ended with a brief assembly.

Speakers at the gathering said that incidents of rape and women abuse are alarmingly increasing across the country due to the failure of law enforcement and weak implementation of justice.
They urged the government to ensure immediate trials, enforce strict laws, and restore moral and social discipline.

The speakers also emphasized the importance of religious and ethical education to prevent such heinous crimes and called for unity among all citizens to build a safer, more moral society.
